Important Kerbside Waste Collection Update – Effective 1st September 2025
Residents are advised that, starting from 1st September 2025, Veolia will take over as the new contractor for household waste and recycling collection. This change comes following the expiry of the current contract and a thorough tendering process.
Please be assured there will be no changes to collection days or times in any district.
The Council would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Thorp Waste for their dedicated service over the years, and we appreciate residents’ patience and cooperation during this transition.
Important Reminder:
Veolia will only collect the Council allocated 240-litre bins with red and yellow lids and Council Logo. Any other bins fall outside the scope of this contract and will not be collected by Veolia.
