Midland Highway Safety Upgrades Stage 2 Bagdad – Notification of Future Changes

As part of the Midland Highway upgrades through Mangalore, VEC are contracted to replace a culvert located on School Road, at the Southern Entrance. To construct this infrastructure, VEC propose the Southern Access into School Road is closed, leaving the North end open to traffic.
VEC plan to complete works during the school holidays (1st Oct to 19th Oct) to minimise the disruption to school activities and/or bus movements.  Road closure duration is expected to be approximately 1 week.

Further information about the project can be found on the Department of State Growth website: www.midlandhighway.tas.gov.au/projects. During construction the contractor’s
Community Liaison Officer, Adrian Smith can be contacted on email: mangalore@vec.com.au or phone: 0457 522 671 to discuss any road work questions or concerns. Adrian or his representative will be in touch with you in advance of any impact on the access to your property, if any.

VEC would like to take this opportunity to thank the public for their patience in observing traffic signs and adhering to the reduced speed limits during the construction period.
