Consumer, Building and Occupational Services (CBOS) 'Shred & Protect' Campaign

Consumer, Building and Occupational Services (CBOS), within the Department of Justice is the consumer regulator in Tasmania and is conducting an education and public awareness campaign throughout Tasmania in April 2018.

CBOS will be visiting Oatlands on Monday 23 April 2018 between 9am and 11am (located outside the Council Chambers, 71 High Street, Oatlands).

The campaign “Shred and Protect”, is aiming to raise awareness about the dangers of identity theft within the Tasmanian community. Officers from CBOS will attend public spaces such as shopping centres, town halls and community centres with information to distribute to the public.

The Offices will have marketing banners and a vehicle marked with the campaign logo that will contain a paper shredder available for people to shred any unwanted personal documents on the day at the campaign location.
