New Southern Tasmania Regional Land Use Strategy
The Southern Tasmania region has a revised land use strategy to help guide where and how land is used and developed. The Southern Tasmania Regional Land Use Strategy 2026 (STRLUS) replaces a version first
released in 2011.
The Southern Tasmania Councils Authority with the 12
councils of southern Tasmania and the Tasmanian Government led the
preparation of the STRLUS including consultation with a range of
stakeholders and the community.
The revised STRLUS came into effect on the 11 September 2026.
