The State Government have today taken the next step in preparedness, declaring a state of emergency for Tasmania, and in response to COVID-19, they are introducing the toughest border restrictions in Australia.
From midnight, Friday 20 March, all non-essential travellers departing for Tasmania will be required to quarantine for 14 days.

Council would like to remind all residents/ratepayers on the roadside collection service that ordinary waste and unapproved materials must not be placed in your yellow lid recycling bin. This includes food scraps, timbers, nappies, organic matter, plastic bags or hazardous materials etc. Please do not tie recyclables together with string or twine. Please do not place your recyclables in plastic bags.

The Tasmanian Government (Department of Premier and Cabinet) is conducting a major review of Tasmania’s Local Government Legislation Framework. The Review was announced in June 2018 and will involve extensive consultation with the local government sector, the community and affected stakeholders.
DPAC is holding a Community information and consultation session in Oatlands on Monday 2nd September 2019 from 5:30pm - 7pm at the Midlands Memorial Community Centre High Street, Oatlands hosted by the Oatlands District Progress Association.
