Expressions of Interest for a Commercial Operator - Oatlands Commisariat Woodfired Oven (1883)

As part of the recently completed Oatlands Commissariat Project, Council are seeking expressions of interest for a commercial operator to use the restored 1883 'Scotch Oven' - a massive woodfired oven which served the district as a bakery from 1883-c1940s.  The Commissariat is to be used as a shared space with the operator and the Centre for Heritage at Oatlands, on the same property as the Heritage Hub - and there is great potential for iconic branding and collaborative projects.

Click here  for the expressions of interest guidelines.  Submissions to be made by 31st July 2019 and should be addresses to Southern Midlands Council, P O Box 21, Oatlands, Tas, 7120 and marked Expression of interest Commissariat Oven.

Enquiries should be directed to Brad Williams, Manager - Heritage Projects via email to bwilliams@southernmidlands.tas.gov.au or phone 0418 303 184
