Southern MidlandsCouncil - Strategic Plan Review

The Local Government Act 1993 requires all Councils to have a Strategic Plan for the Municipal area. The Act also states that in preparing a strategic plan, or updating an existing strategic plan, a Council is to consult with the Community in its municipal area and any authorities and bodies it considers appropriate. 

Council has planned three Community Consultation workshops and encourages wide Community participation at one of the three venues listed below;

• Council Chambers Oatlands 14^th April 2008 starting at 6.00pm till 8.00pm
• Council Chambers Kempton 15^th April 2008 starting at 6.00pm till 8.00pm
• Campania Hall Campania 16^th April 2008 starting at 6.00pm till 8.00pm

Interested participates should contact Council's Manager Community & Corporate Development, Andrew Benson to register their interest for the sessions on (03) 6259 3011.  Comments in regard to the existing plan are sought by Council and should be lodged with Mr Andrew Benson by 17th April 2008.
